As you rightly suggest, men are generally (though not absolutely) socialized to be tough and hard-working. My pleas for greater work-life balance [as a father] to spend time with my young children were received as if I were speaking Greek. I can’t tell you how much it warms my heart to have a woman speak out on this topic. I hear so much about unevolved men and I understand we can be a little (or even a lot) dense. But I can’t tell you how appreciative I am to see a woman whose opinion on this matter is so “evolved.” Thank you, thank you, thank you.” ~ Excerpt from a working father upon reading “Leveling the Playing Field”
“Thank you so much for speaking to our group …. the feedback has been hugely positive. For me personally, I am more motivated than ever to stay in the game, help effect change in the law firm culture, and be a positive role model for my kids.” ~ Attorney in SF
